How do I create a new board?

Tap the "New Board" button on the home screen. Enter the game details including team names, payouts for each quarter, and optionally upload a photo of your physical grid.

How do I add my squares?

Open a board and tap "Add Square". Select your X and Y numbers from the grid, enter the name that appears on the grid, and optionally add the cost and notes.

How does automatic winner detection work?

When you enter scores for each quarter, SquareUp automatically matches the last digit of each team's score to your squares' X and Y numbers. Winners are instantly highlighted in gold.

Can I update scores for multiple boards at once?

Yes! Tap the scoreboard icon on the home screen to access the batch update feature. Select the boards you want to update and enter the scores once.

How do I track multiple pools?

Create a separate board for each pool. Each board is independent and can track different games, teams, and payouts.

Can I remove ads?

Yes! Access the settings menu from the home screen and purchase the "Remove Ads" option for a one-time fee. This removes all banner ads from the app.

Is my data backed up?

All data is stored locally on your device. Make sure to back up your device regularly using iCloud (iOS) or Google Backup (Android) to protect your data.

Do I need an internet connection?

No! SquareUp works completely offline. All your boards and squares are stored locally on your device.

Can I edit a board after creating it?

Yes! Tap on any board to open it, then use the edit icon to modify team names, payouts, or scores.

How do I delete a board or square?

Swipe left on any board or square in the list to reveal the delete option. You can also delete from the edit screen.

What happens to my photo after uploading?

Photos are stored locally on your device and associated with the specific board. They're only used within the app and are not uploaded anywhere.

Can I restore my purchase on a new device?

Yes! If you purchased ad removal, open the settings menu and tap "Restore Purchases" to restore your purchase on any device using the same Apple ID or Google account.

Troubleshooting

The app crashed or isn't working correctly

Try force-closing the app and reopening it. If problems persist, try restarting your device. Contact support if issues continue.

My photos aren't showing up

Make sure you've granted SquareUp permission to access your photos in your device settings (Settings > Privacy > Photos).

Winners aren't highlighting correctly

Verify that scores are entered correctly. Winners are determined by the last digit of each team's score matching your square's X and Y numbers.

I can't find my board

Check that you're on the home screen. Boards are listed in order of creation. Use the search or scroll through the list.
