3. Third-Party Services

AdMob (Google Mobile Ads)

The free version of SquareUp displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect certain information to serve personalized ads. This includes:

• Ad interaction data
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android)

Users who purchase the Premium (Ad-Free) version of SquareUp will have no ads and no data collection by AdMob.

In-App Purchases

In-app purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect or store your payment information. All payment processing is handled by Apple or Google according to their respective privacy policies.

4. Data Security

We take data security seriously:

• Local Storage: All your data is stored on your device using secure local storage mechanisms
• No Cloud Backup: Your data is not automatically backed up to cloud services by our app
• Device Security: Your data security depends on your device's security features (passcode, biometric authentication, etc.)

Important: If you uninstall the app or lose your device, your data cannot be recovered by us since it is stored only on your device.

5. Photos and Camera Access

SquareUp allows you to take photos of physical board grids for reference. When you use this feature:

• The app will request permission to access your camera or photo library
• Photos are stored locally on your device as part of the app's data
• Photos are not uploaded to any servers or shared with anyone
• You can delete photos at any time by deleting the associated board

6. Children's Privacy

SquareUp is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since all data is stored locally on the device and we do not collect any information on our servers, we have no way to determine the age of our users.

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: All your data is accessible within the app at any time
• Modification: You can edit or update any information within the app
• Deletion: You can delete individual boards, squares, or all data by uninstalling the app
• Portability: Your data is stored on your device and moves with your device backups
